A: TIG welding is a welding method using argon as shielding gas. When the electrode is made of wire material, it is called metal inert gas welding (MIG). When a tungsten electrode is adopted, it is non-consumable electrode argon welding, known as TIG welding. It uses argon shield to protect the electric arc between the electrode and workpiece to melt metal for welding. For the working principle of the inverter DC welder, please refer to the description in Question 45.
